and while it got 5 stars for side impact crashes on both the front seat and rear seat, it only got 4 stars for frontal crashes for both driver and passenger. Considering this a a brand new truck from the ground up, this is embarrassing IMO.
![]() The new 2dr Tacoma got 5 stars all the way around. |

according to the video footage, the tacoma they tested was the standard pick-version (far lower center of gravity) and the frontier looked like mine, (10+ inches ground clearance..). i don't know the exact details of the test but according to what they showed on abc news, the frontier that flipped over on the side impact test was lot taller than the tacoma. 4 stars are good enough for me tho.. i'd rather die in a good looking truck than to survive horribly disfigured in an equally revolting looking truck.

Interesting that the Frontier AND the PF BOTH flipped over in the side impact testing.. scary.. but will it stop us from owning them..?? Probably not.. $hit happens and if you # is up.. so be it.
