Wow, awesome find. this also lends a hint as to how the new Maxima will look. I think the headlight design and front bumper will be similar.

Nice. Might have to save up for one, luckily I'm graduating college this year.

Anyone see a possible weight in the text?

It will be a bit lower than 333hp for the US because of different standards.

The rear looks frumpy. The headlamps look like something Renault would design..oh wait....

The headlights have potential along with the revised looking interior which looks more stylized and less spartan.

The front and rear bumpers look like they might have a bit more aggression massaged into them, this could be a winner.

I think with details like increased power and interior features/comfort and supposedly less weight the Z might start to be truely worthy of its near $40k price tag

Interior looks like it might have a bit of "Infiniti" in it. Since it is basically one of the three cars built in Japan under the Nissan brand name, I am not suprised. (Other two are Murano and GTR).

333ps is about equal to 328hp. The new Z is supposed to get the same engine as the G37 (VQ37HR) that is rated at 330hp, thus it's reasonable to say that the next Z will have the same rating.

That's too bad. I can't take the credit for this. Not my finding, not my scan. I simply copy pasted from another website.

The new VQ37 applications in Europe are all getting 7 speed autos. Any chance we'll see this in the 350Z in addition to the 6 speed manual?

If the weight could be reduced, the Z34 really wouldn't need the VQ37. The NISMO Z can just about keep up with a Cayman S, and it already has a power advantage. Less weight would be the best solution in terms of having the Z34 beat it.

Either that, or maybe somebody decided the Z needed to step up and go after the 911 for some reason. With the VQ37, the Z would have more power than a base Carrera.

Default Auto Option

Having seen the post about the 7-Speed Auto option on the G37 in Europe, just wondered if anybody knows if the 370Z will get this here in Europe.
The present 350Z has not got an Auto option as Nissan thought it would have a limited market.
Might be different if the 370Z has a Paddle Shift with the 7-spd Automatic gearbox.

I'm sorry but that front looks hideous to me...the front end looks like a carp or some type of mutant fish...

similar headlights on the new Maxima which has also taken a turn for the worse...IMHO

just because they have the ability/technology to make that sort of headlamp doesn't mean they should....yuck!

good work Jawad!

I kinda like it! kinda reminds me of the front of a s2000 but my only complaint with the current Z is the rear, and they seem to have beefed it up a bit. looks good

Possible; but EXTREMELY unlikely.

Since it's the same FM-platform as the G, M, EX and FX, the 370Z will most certainly have the same 7A.

Hmm I am looking at buying a Z. I saw that Nissan was coming out with a 370z. I thought about waiting a few months until the 370z comes out. I think I'll stick with buying the 350z. I don't like the new body changes if those pictures are real. The 350z might be an older body style, but it looks better to me.

Good! BTW, I'm coming around on the Max. Never disliked it, just wanted something different than what came about.

Anyone ever hear or see of a Z owner to paint the ugly door handles on the current Z body color? Those things stand out like a sore thumb. I NEVER liked that styling cue for the Current Z. It just takes away the sleekness and excellence from the rest of the design, like a herpe or a wart on a beautiful, hot woman.

I like the current Z. I 've always thought that it was a nice car. Heres a question. Do you all think that it will be a similar situation as the g35/37, where the new engine doesn't produce added performance? I am just asking, as I only have heard of this here on fresh alloy.

I feel you, but the new engine did 'add' performance (only on paper). The weight they 'added' just 'subtracted' it right back away, LOL. One of the major complaints from Z owners has been that they want a lighter one. I think Nissan will listen. Luxury usually adds weight in 99% of cases, so if the Z made 'sportier', it will probably 'add' performance using the same parts bin that's from the G's, but only as long as they focus more on weight savings.

somone already mentioned that the headlights make it look frumpy, I agree there.

here's a thought, not sure anyone has brought this up already, but how many different cars can Nissan put the same engine in? Come on, the G37? the GT-R? the 370z? Seems a bit over done imo, it's like someone at Nissan gets paid to sit around and think "lets design a new engine, then design a handfull of cars to put it in!" then again, that can be a good thing! Maybe a GT-R oem twin turbo set up can be put on the G37 and 370z, who knows! Obviously there are some pro's and cons.

well you named three cars... I'm not overwhelmed. I think you'll find on a global scale that MOST car companies utilize the same engine on different platforms to keep costs down.
